King Midas Dress
Say hello to the Holy Grail of Vintage: This dress is probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
Made of gold rhodoid plastic discs that are connected by metal jump rings, cascading below in a modern twist similar to a chainmaille.
Fully unlined and ready to hit the scene in whatever you choose to wear – or not wear – underneath it.
Circa 1969/early 70’s. Definitely inspired by Paco Rabanne’s futuristic designs.
A truly rare and collectable fashion piece.
– Unfortunately unlabelled, untagged and unsized, therefore no idea of who was the artist that created this.
– Best for size a Small (34, 36 or even 38).
– 109cm long.
– Bought from a high-end vintage collector in Paris. October 2014.
– Perfect vintage condition.
